Editor, Earth care is the most pressing ethical, moral and spiritual issue of our time. Human population is growing at an unsustainable rate. Global temperature is increasing to dangerous levels as we burn more carbon fuels. Water tables are falling.

Editor, After reading the article in the latest issue of the Chief I feel compelled to remark on what appears to me to be very poor reporting. First, Catherine Jackson was not a panel member.

Editor, Your reporting of the recent meeting on GAS shows disturbing bias ["Anti-GAS 'facts' questioned," The Chief, April 16]. This is a topic, which needs to be discussed openly.

Editor, My husband and I are so sick of all the negative talk about Independent Power Projects in The Chief lately. My husband had a job because of the Harrison Hydro LP that was built by Pete Kiewitt Sons' Inc. for the company Cloudworks Energy Inc.

The second annual Dancing Bear Music Festival at the Quest University on Sunday (April 25) from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. promises to have music and entertainment to please all ages including folk, gospel, rock and jazz.

There are 243 publicly funded libraries in B.C. and over 60 per cent of B.C. residents have a library card. Most of our funding comes from municipal taxes, but up to 10 per cent of what we receive is provincial.
