To succeed, an economic development project must be right for the surrounding community. As president of Blackcomb Aviation, I know that from personal experience.

It was very hard to believe that on Tuesday, Nov. 11, as I was driven to Brennan Park for Remembrance Day services, I passed two local schools, and to my disbelief, I did not see our Canadian flag flying at half-mast. Shame on our school board.

Election night is a display of the power of voters to transform lives and communities. And there’s no doubt that voters here were seeking strong leadership with courage and consensus-building skills to transport Squamish into its promising future.

It is that time of year again to be thinking about Community Christmas Care and how we can provide a happy Christmas to many families and individuals in the community.
