There’s just a week left now until we go to the polls to elect our next municipal council and board of education.

According to one source, our first Prime Minister climbed onto a manure pile while on the hustings and started his speech with, “Unaccustomed as I am to speaking from my opponent’s platform …” Not much has changed since Sir John A.

Much ado about shipping natural gas out of the country. Some think it is dangerous. Some think it is economic gain. Expensive advertising is widely distributed lauding its wonders.

The Squamish Valley Rod and Gun Club continues to operate in a manner that disrupts the lives of thousands of Squamish residents. The club’s proximity to town has been questioned numerous times in the past for safety and noise concerns.

Thanks so much for publishing Kirsten Andrews’ timely article on our home and the Squamish CAN Eco Home Hop. We had a wonderfully sunny day and a great turnout on Sunday October 26.

As the municipal election is fast approaching, I would like to remind the citizens of Squamish about some of the questionable decision-making that certain council members have made and they are still running for office.

You might be surprised to learn which part was the most spectacular of my 5,024 km journey to Squamish. Or you might not.
