EDITOR, Like many I was speechless when I first heard of the unthinkable act that took place in Whistler back in April 2010 in regards to the inhumane and brutal mass killing of 100 sled dogs.

EDITOR, Re.: "Falcon delivers for Squamish," Council Corner, The Chief, Jan. 21. Shame on Councillor Lalli's misuse of the valuable "Council Corner" to toady up to the B.C. Liberal Party and leadership candidate Kevin Falcon.

Squamish residents don't need Doc Brown or a DeLorean to travel back in time. No, all they need to do is enter the Brennan Park Recreation Centre and they'll immediately get transported back to 1990.

How is it that some couples are obviously happy together and others struggle? Have you ever wondered? The answer is that happy couples actively create a satisfying relationship.

EDITOR, The provincial government is up to its same old tricks, pulling a fast one to privatize our B.C. water. Ecojustice's Randy Christensen informs us that government statements relating to "modernizing" the B.C.

When preparing for any trip that involves a flight somewhere, there is always a checklist most of us go through mentally before leaving.

EDITOR, I would like to air my opinion of the current debate over whether marijuana should be legalized. I think if we stop referring to marijuana as a drug it would be easier to help people see the error of their thinking.

When I first started teaching almost a quarter century ago, my sponsor-teacher and first mentor warned me that because everyone has some experience with schooling, many people consider themselves experts in education.

EDITOR, No other animal has influenced Canadian history to such a great extent as the beaver. We need to use the alternative solutions to beaver problems rather than extermination of our national animal. We have learned to live with the bears.
