With apologies to the authors, here is a slightly tweaked version of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels' classic slogan: "A spectre is haunting Squamish - the spectre of gentrification." And inevitably there will be winners and losers.

J udging by the reaction to the magnitude 2.3 earthquake that woke Squamish residents up in the early morning of Oct.

Back in 2005, I wrote a report on BC Ferries. (You can read this report at www.vanishinghistory.ca/?p=1318.) In section FI, is a proposed route from Squamish to Powell River. Parts of this report’s proposed route is now being considered.
