If you have a sunny spot in your garden, try planting some garlic. Garlic is loved and used by many and is an easy plant to maintain. October is a perfect time to plant garlic here on the West Coast.

The furor over teen bullying in Squamish ignited once again last week as a 14-year-old boy ended up in hospital with the usual suspects reportedly involved.

Cameron Chalmers, our general manager of community services, and I were just on a business development initiative in Shanghai. Upon return, the thing that struck me is that accolades for the accomplishments of our community keep pouring in.

Editor, I am writing in response to Sandra Brull's letter in the Sept. 24 issue of The Chief in regards to the GranFondo bicycle event ["GrandFondo good for Squamish"].

The Britannia Mine Museum had their grand re-opening this past weekend and I was one of the over 500 people who took in the festivities.
