Summer has finally descended on us in Sea to Sky Country. The Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada is humming with events and celebrations and I invite you to come out and enjoy as many of them as you can handle.

EDITOR, I'm writing to provide clarification on Whistler Blackcomb's recruiting policies in response to a letter published in the Squamish Chief, entitled: "Job-related Issues, questions" (Letters, June 17).

Last weekend, Squamish residents had yet another illustration of the passion and commitment it takes to be the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada - and to bring those who share our town's enthusiasm for the outdoors here for a visit.

EDITOR, Recycle, bury or burn: These three words are very much part of our present social consciousness. It's not quite as easy to decide what route to take with what material. Much has been written about "carbon sinks," i.e.

EDITOR, I believe Jim Harvey overestimates the importance of economic development strategy documents recently produced for the District ("Key industries being missed," Chief, June 17). Their flaws are too obvious.

"Your Child's Pose," the yoga instructor tells me, "has really improved." "Thanks," I say, unsure if it's meant to be an insult or a compliment.

EDITOR, The Sea to Sky Sirens would like to thank the full house of fans that supported us at our first home bout against Nanaimo's Harbour City Rollers this past Saturday (June 18).

EDITOR,Giving the Legacy Fund money to build a Nordic Park is the silliest idea imaginable. I think that the money should go to refurbish the gravel fields and a mountain skills park.
