EDITOR, I am a retired Australian teacher and a climber who has made extended visits to Squamish to climb on the Chief three times over the past 26 years. Now that I am no longer working, I am hopeful that my visits will be able to be more frequent.

Spring is my favourite season in the year. Daylight hours extend, spring flowers emerge, temperatures warm up (usually!) and I feel a renewed sense of optimism and energy.

Until a recent Saturday night, I was feeling pretty good about myself. I work from home mostly and take care of two young kids at the same time while my significant other commutes to Vancouver daily.

EDITOR, When today's Squamish Chief landed on my Brackendale doorstep I picked it up and noted that the Sea to Sky Gondola is facing disapproval with certain parties.

According to Patricia Heintzman, who chairs the district's Economic Development Committee, "governments don't create business... our policies have to somehow inspire the business to relocate here.

EDITOR, This letter is in response to the dart addressed to the dog owner that was mistreating his/her animal.

EDITOR, I have lived in this area for all my life. I have hiked the Stawamus Chief many times as well as the surrounding areas. I am vehemently opposed to this development. This land should remain as park land and the development should not proceed.
