In the life of gardeners there are several re-occurring questions. A few have no hard and fast answer or solution. Most centre on weed control and pests.

Editor's note: This a copy of a letter to Hon. Christy Clark, Premier of British Columbia. It was copied to The Chief for publication. I'm writing you to express my strong opposition to the proposed Sea to Sky Gondola.

Picture this: Douglas Channel, just outside Kitimat, B.C.

Last week, members of Squamish council voted themselves a pay raise, and good on them. They deserve it.

EDITOR, I am a retired Australian teacher and a climber who has made extended visits to Squamish to climb on the Chief three times over the past 26 years. Now that I am no longer working, I am hopeful that my visits will be able to be more frequent.

Editor,You gotta hand it to Stephen Harper. The guy is ferociously capable of acquiring power, then dismantling all possibility of opposition. There is a small but influential portion of our population that values such abilities ahead of all others.

Technology doesn't always necessarily enhance our lives.

So... here we are, five months into my freshman term as a councillor. The courses, the conferences and presentations attended to bring us up to speed as councillors have been very informative and interesting.

Editor, Re: "Gym coming to Brennan Park arena," Chief, March 30. There once was a rec centre who wanted a cash cow. Just build a gym, they were told, that is how. With the pool, the rink and field it would be hot.
