In the last two issues of The Chief, there have been excellent articles on the upcoming 20th anniversary celebration for the Howe Sound Performing Arts Association.

EDITOR, Just curious.... the Gran Fondo costs each person who enters $250. I'm not very good at math but even I know with approximately 7,000 participants, that is a lot of money generated, with no prize money offered this year.

EDITOR, Re. "The Fondo follies," Editorial, Chief, Sept. 13. I don't know what benefit Squamish received from the highway closure but if that is the support given to the bike ride, it is time we stopped it. Any local patience given was not voluntary.

EDITOR, In recent weeks the trials of the SquamishFood Bank have been prominent in the minds of those in community concernedwithfood resources. Tuesday (Sept. 25) at 7 p.m. at the Alano Club is the food bank society AGM.
